The Black Swamp Quilters Guild meets monthly, usually on the second Thursday of each month* at 7:00 pm at the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation 'Simpson' Building located at 1291 Conneaut St., Bowling Green, OH.  Doors open at 6:00 PM, meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM, so come early for some social time!

Each meeting includes introductions, a business section,  updates on upcoming events; "show and tell"; and a short program. Programs range from "how-to's" to book reviews to special guest speakers.

Work Days, 2017

September 23, 2017. Bowling Green Community Center, 9 AM through 4 PM. Bring your sewing machine, your donation quilts or your personal projects and sew with others in the guild.  Fabric and batting for donation quilts will be available. Bring a lunch to order in from the center.

Sewing Room Tours, 2017 

 April 23rd and April 30th time will be 1:00 to 5:00.

 On the tour April 23rd are Jean Overmeyer, Sheila Painter, Jeanette Willman, Marilyn Riewaldt.

Tour on April 30th is Joanne Streacker, Bev McClarren, Cindy Huffman and Wendy Jenkins.

Cindy Huffman has fabric that was donated from the 30’s that will be raffled off.

New! Guest Speaker Announced for May 2018:

Teacher/Speaker Debbie Grifka will be the special speaker next year.  She wrote the book “Lines by Designs” featuring clean lines and bold shapes.

Art Walk, April 29, 2017. As in past years, Black Swamp Quilt Guild will hold a quilt show in the Four Corners gallery for Art Walk, April 29 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. You can drop off your quilts or other projects on Thursday, April 27 at the Busy Thimble Quilt Shop or Connie Miller will pick them up at the April meeting. A signup sheet will also be at the meeting for set up (28th), tear down, demos, and raffle table volunteers. Tear down will be on Saturday (29th) at 4:00 pm. New! Sonflower Kids' Camp, June 26-29, 2017.  Sonflower's Kid's quilt camp will be held from Mon. to Thurs., June 26-29 from 9:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. for children 9 and up.
