Guild meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Building at 1291 Conneaut St., Bowling Green, Ohio. Doors open at 6:00 pm. The December meeting is a brunch at the Bowling Green County Club.
Dear BSQG members,
I hope all of you are looking forward to the Brunch on Dec. 9, it is always a fun morning. Jenny will come find some clever way to distribute the gifts. (Reminder, partaking in the gift exchange is optional.)
Are you hurrying to get those Christmas quilt items finished? Quilts that are given as gifts before the January meeting can be shared, otherwise no show and tell at the brunch.
It was unusual to put the outside Christmas trim in place and then go to the back yard to rake leaves. Not even half of the leaves are down from the tree. I may be raking until time for our Christmas Brunch, but I am not complaining, as the mild weather is enjoyable.
See everyone on Dec. 9.
January 11th Meeting
A quick preview of our January 11, 2018 meeting: If you took part in the yearly UFO bag challenge, bring your completed bag! Our new yearly challenge is a fun one; the Ugly Fabric Challenge! Start searching through your stash now for some truly ugly fabric to swap. You liked it once, but now you cannot stand to look at it...one to two yards, please. You will have a full year to sew a quilted item with the ugly stuff you get in return. Meanwhile, the challenge committee for the project due in April will be revealed at the brunch and then at the January meeting.

I sincerely wish to thank the members of the quilt guild who continue to support my 4-H endeavors. Most recently, many of you came to my rescue when I needed stuffing for a Thanksgiving service-learning project. Fifty-three teens made over 100 turkeys out of gloves, feathers, wiggly eyes, and glue guns! We had a wonderful time. These cute little birds were donated to senior living facilities in Bowling Green to be delivered with their holiday meal. This Thanksgiving I am especially thankful for being a part of such a heartwarming organizations. – Jenny Morlock
In the interest of website storage capacity, we will only keep one half year's worth of newsletters on this page at any one time.
